Javascript/nodejs developer

Fast-growing Silicon Valley company is looking for a talented full-stack JavaScript developer. We receive 110 million visits per month and are one of the largest Node.js® projects in existence. The company has 6 offices on 3 different continents, but the majority of the engineering team works remotely. You'll:

1. Develop complex and highly interactive web based and desktop GUI applications
2. Support and develop the existing codebase
3. Develop and integrate server side APIs over WS and JSON
4. Write automated tests to ensure high quality of work
5. Manage versions of core libraries with associated documentation
6. Perform code reviews


We’re looking for someone with:

1. Experience using ReactJS/AngularJS
2. Good understanding of ES6/7 and/or Babel
3. Experience with Node.js®
4. Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns and OOP
5. Experience in Agile development/team work
6. Expertise in Git, bash
7. Passion for building great software
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Responsible working style and outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
10. Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and methodically
11. Ability to understand complex systems, strategic planning skills, and extreme attention to detail
12. Proficiency in written and spoken English skills


Nice to haves:

1. Experience with Python
2. Experience with CoffeeScript, TypeScript
3. Experience with Meteor JS
4. Experience with Gulp, Webpack
5. Understanding of Flux, Redux approaches
6. Experience with designing complex distributed systems
7. Solid knowledge of Data Storages (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Druid.io)
8. Expertise in complex algorithms designing
9. Experience in TDD, writing unit-tests
10. Expertise in Azure/AWS/Dockers
11. Understanding of machine learning/deep learning basics
