Database administrator

Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Successfully handling technical issues
-Fault finding and resolution
-Support in a production environment
-Database maintenance including monitoring and maintenance tasks (Linux, Windows, etc.)
-Design and build new database structures
-Perform backup and recovery tasks
-Developing and maintaining shell scripts as well as programming in PL/SQL
-Communicate both business and technical terms and information/requirements/instructions to a wide variety of audiences (face-to-face, teleconference, phone and email)


Skills and experience:
-Proven experience supporting Oracle databases (especially Oracle 10), SQL Server databases
-Experience with:
-RMAN (Recover Manager)
-Shell scripting
-PL/SQL
-Oracle SQL Developer tool
-Experience with these tasks:
-Performance & tuning Database
-Data migrations
-Upgrades
-Patching
-Troubleshooting
-Minimum of 1 year experience within technical support
-Knowledge of complex environments with multiple support and product lines
-Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems - 2003, 2008, 2012
